1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small data file that a website asks a browser to store and send back on later requests. Websites may also use local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software-development-kit identifiers, or similar technologies. In this Policy, cookies is used as a convenient term for these technologies where the same rules apply.
Some technologies are needed to deliver a service requested by the user or to maintain essential security. Others are used for preferences, audience measurement, analytics, personalization, or advertising.
2. Legal basis and consent rule
Under the Serbian Law on Electronic Communications ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" No. 35/2023), Article 160, storage of or access to information on a user's terminal equipment is generally permitted when the user has given consent after receiving clear and complete information about the purpose and has an opportunity to refuse.
The law provides an exception for technical storage/access that is strictly necessary to transmit a communication or provide a service expressly requested by the user.
Where processing associated with a cookie involves personal data, the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection also applies. Where GDPR applies according to its territorial scope, GDPR requirements also apply.
Accordingly, Gnezdo does not intentionally activate non-essential cookie categories before the required consent has been obtained.
3. Cookie categories
3.1 Strictly necessary
These technologies are used only where necessary for core functions, security, load balancing, fraud/abuse prevention, network communication, or a function you expressly request, such as remembering the cookie-consent choice itself. They cannot always be disabled through the Website because the requested function may not work without them.
Where a technology is merely convenient rather than strictly necessary, it is not placed in this category.
3.2 Preferences
Preference technologies remember non-essential choices, such as optional display or personalization settings. Where they are not strictly necessary to deliver a requested service, they remain disabled until you consent to this category.
3.3 Analytics
Analytics technologies help measure how the Website is used, such as page visits, performance, navigation patterns, or aggregated audience metrics. If analytics requires terminal storage/access or other consent under applicable law, it is not enabled before analytics consent.
3.4 Marketing and advertising
Marketing/advertising technologies may be used to measure campaigns, limit or personalize advertising, build audiences, or track interactions across services. Such technologies are treated as optional and are not activated before the required consent.
4. Current cookie and storage inventory
The current inventory must reflect the Website's actual deployed configuration. It is displayed through the Website's Cookie settings interface and/or in the inventory rendered with this Policy. For each item, the inventory should identify at least:
- name/key;
- provider and domain;
- purpose;
- category;
- first-party or third-party status;
- expiry/duration;
- relevant transfer information where applicable.
We do not list a third-party analytics or advertising vendor in this static text unless its use has been verified. This avoids misleading you when the Website's technology changes.

5. Your choices
When optional cookies are available, the consent interface should allow you to:
- Accept all optional categories;
- Reject all optional categories;
- open Cookie settings and select categories individually.
Optional categories are not preselected. Rejecting optional cookies should be as easy as accepting them.
Your choice may be stored in a strictly necessary consent record so the Website can remember it. That record should include a consent-policy/version identifier so we can ask again if the categories or purposes materially change.
6. Withdrawing or changing consent
You can change your decision at any time through the Website's persistent Cookie settings control.
When you withdraw consent:
- we stop initiating future optional processing for the withdrawn categories;
- first-party optional cookies/storage that the Website can remove should be deleted or invalidated where technically possible;
- third-party data already lawfully transmitted before withdrawal may remain subject to the provider's lawful retention obligations and cannot necessarily be remotely erased by deleting a browser cookie.
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers also let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and site data. Browser-level blocking can affect strictly necessary functionality and may prevent the Website from remembering your consent preference. Browser settings do not replace the Website's duty to obtain consent for optional technologies where consent is required.

We may update this Policy when the Website's technologies, providers, purposes, or legal requirements change. The current date is shown at the top. A material change to an optional processing purpose may require us to request consent again.
